Drama Archive

NOTE: When I started watching dramas in 2010, I just watched whatever and whenever, and I didn’t watch anything that was currently airing, the same goes for 2011. However, in 2012 I started getting into dramas that were airing weekly.

Color Legend

Completed | Currently Watching | On Hold | Stopped Watching
  • Emergency Couple – (Aired January 24 – April 5, 2014) Song Ji-Hyo. That’s all I have to say. And also Choi Jin-Hyuk. He’s a really good actor. I’m glad he’s getting lots of work.
  • Wonderful Days – (Aired February 22 – August 10, 2014) I started watching this because of Lee Seo-Jin and Kim Hee-Seon from Faith starred in it, but I put it on hold for a while because it got boring and I just found out that it has 50 episodes…and I stopped around episode 16 as they were airing
  • Cunning Single Lady – (Aired February 27 – April 24, 2014) I started watching this one because of  Joo Sang-Wook. I started to see him more on Running Man after watching him in Good Doctor and I got interested more in his dramas, so I will be looking him up more soon and watching some old dramas.
  • Wild Chives and Soy Bean Soup:  12 Years Reunion – (Aired March 22 – June 29, 2014)I totally thought this was an old series and didn’t know it was currently airing. But I really like the actress from Let’s Eat (Yoon So Hee) and the young actor in this is also very good. When they became adults it was kind of boring so I stopped watching it until I realized that Lee So-Yeon (Temptation of an Angel, Dong-Yi, Dr Jin) was playing the adult lead and so now I have to go back and watch it.
  • Angel Eyes – (Aired April 5 – June 15, 2014) I was watching Running Man and found out that Seung-Ri from Big Bang would be in it. However, Kang Ha-Neul and Kim Ji-Suk are in it as well. I’ve been wanting to see them in other dramas as well. I will go back to this and watch it.
  • Hotel King – (Aired April 5 – July 27, 2014) Lee Da Hae. I really couldn’t get into IRIS 2, so when I found out she was going to be in this, I hoped for the best, especially since she was reuniting with Lee Dong Wook. In my opinion he’s a terribly stiff actor and sucks horrible in his crying scenes. However, this drama has shown just how much he has grown in his acting even after being in the army for two years. I don’t think this was his comeback drama, it was Scent of a Woman, which I stopped watching after about half-way through. Anyway, I started watching Roommates and he is a wonderful person, I really like his personality.
  • A New Leaf – (Aired April 30 – June 26, 2014) I started watching this for Park Min-Young since I haven’t seen her in anything since Dr Jin. However, I found a new actor that I like  Kim Myung-Min who is the actor from Beethoven Virus along with the lead actress from Me Too Flower…so many connections. I love it when they come together. Anyway, it was an excellent drama so far. I just didn’t really like the ending.
  • Doctor Stranger – (Aired May 5 – July 8, 2014) Lee Jong Suk played in I Can Hear Your Voice and this drama was no exception to his acting skills. He really is one good actor. I really like actress Jin Se-Yeon (Bridal Mask, Five Fingers) but many fans on Viki did not like her in this drama. She’s a good actress to me and this was a good drama. Occasionally I wanted to hit the writers and but it turned out to be a good ending.
  • Triangle – (Aired May 5 – July 29, 2014) Kim Jae Joong and Lee Beom-Soo together in this drama was just amazing. I really loved it. It’s too bad Kim Jae Joong will be enlisting soon.
  • You’re All Surrounded – (Aired May 7 – July 17, 2014) I don’t really like Lee Seung Gi but the actor from The Greatest Love was in here so that is why I watched it. It was a really good drama and I can see why everyone loves Lee Seung Gi so much.
  • Grandpas Over Flowers Investigation Team – (Aired May 9 – July 25, 2014) I actually started watching this because of Kim Hee Cheol. I started seeing him on Running Man a lot and found out that he is a member of Super Junior and that he also acts. I also thought that Choi Jin-Hyuk was going to be in this drama but he was only in a few episodes, the same for Park Min Woo (Roommates).
  • Only Love – (Airs June 2, 2014 –) I want to watch this series based on the description but I just found out some of the actors in here are some I know. Nam BoRa (Shark, A Little Love Never Hurts), Yoon Jong Hoo (Monstar, Emergency Couple)
  • Endless Love – (Airs June 21 – November 2, 2014) And interesting drama. I recognize many of the actors, young and old, that are listed. I will save it for later though.
  • Lovers of Music – (Aired June 23 – August 12, 2014) This sounded like an interesting drama, plus I recognize one of the actors, Ji Hyun-Woo (Queen In-Hyun’s Man) and Shin Sung-Rok (You Who Came From the Stars) They are both good actors so I’m sure this drama will be good.
  • Gunman in Joseon ✿ (Aired June 25 – September 4, 2014) Lee Joon Gi…again. And he reunits with the actress from Time Between Dog and Wolf, Nam Sang Mi. However, the writing of this drama is annoying and so is her acting. She just doesn’t fit with Lee Joon Gi’s character or his acting style at all. The drama is good on one hand but not on the other. Also the actor from Faith, Yu Oh-Seong, in which Lee JoonGi was originally supposed to star in but couldn’t since he had to go to the army, also united with Lee Joon Gi in this drama.
  • Fated to Love You  (Aired July 2 – September 4, 2014) Jang Hyuk. I was hoping he would be in a new drama after IRIS 2 and here we are. I also like the lead actress Jang Na Ra (Baby Faced Beauty, School 2013) I was hoping that her acting would be decent in here and it is. I really love this drama.
  • It’s okay, This is Love ✿  (Aired July 23 – September 11, 2014 ) Wow, I just keep finding actors and actresses from old dramas. This lead actress is from The Greatest Love. This drama is really good and again I looked it up only because of Viki and the description. I really didn’t know any of the actors. Even D.O. from Exo-K is in here, but I didn’t know it was this drama he was going to be in when they talked about it on Roommates.
  • What Happens to My Family (Airs August 16, 2014 –) I found out that Seo Kang Jun (Cunning Single Lady) would be in this drama. But it seems like he only has a small role, but I guess we’ll see what happens.
  • Age Ending in Nine – (Airs August 29, 2014 –) There are some pretty good actors in this drama including the girl that played Lee Joon Gi’s daughter in Two Weeks. Also the description is very interesting.
  • Iron Man ✿ – (Airs September 10, 2014 –) Lee Dong Wook is jumping into another drama. I hope this one will be good like Hotel King but Lee Da Hae made that drama, really. And Shin Se Kyung cannot act, but they might work together because both Lee Dong Wook and Shin Se Kyung are stiff actors. I hope that Lee Dong Wook doesn’t revert back that way though.
  • Too Lovely Girl For Me ✿ – (Airs September 17, 2014 –) I don’t know about Rain’s acting, but I know that Krystal can act and also L will be in this drama as well. He had a small role in Cunning Single Lady as well.
  • Secret Door ✿ – (Airs September 22, 2014 –) I can’t wait to see Kim Yu Jung in a new drama. She’s so much older now. I know she is still a teenager, but geez, the girl can act. I wonder why she hasn’t been in anything recent. Or maybe I just didn’t recognize her. At any rate I’ll get to see her act once again.
  • Naeil’s Cantabile ✿ – (Airs October 13 – December 2, 2014) Starring Joo Won and Shim Eun Kyung (Bad Guy, The Great Merchant Kim Man Deok). I heard this manga is very good. I never got to read it, so I’m glad that the drama won’t ruin it. But it’s the actors and the writers that make it the best or worst.
  • Bad Guys – (Airs October 4 – December 13, 2014) Park Hae-Jin (Doctor Stranger, You Who Came From the Stars) piqued my interest in this drama, so I hope it’s going to be good.
  • Modern Farmer  – (Airs October 18 – December 27, 2014) I found out that Park Min Woo (Flower Boy Ramun Shop, Grandpas Over Flowers Investigation Team, Roommates) would be in this drama but I also have been wanting to see Lee Hong-Ki (Jeremy from He’s Beautiful) in another drama.
  • Healer  – (Airs December 8, 2014 -February 10, 2015) Sounds interesting and starring Ji Chang-Wook and Park Min-Young.

  • A Little Love Never Hurts  – (Aired September 28, 2013 – March 30, 2014) I started watching this because of the actors from Jang Ok Jung, Song Soo-Hyun and Lee Sang Yeob. I then discovered that Han Go Eun was in this as well and I recognized her from a few dramas.
  • Bel Ami (Pretty Boy)  – (Aired November 20, 2013 – January 9, 2014) I watched this mainly because of  IU even though I don’t listen to her music. I don’t really like Jang Keun Seok as an actor anymore. This part really should have been played by someone like Yoon Shi Yoon, Lee JoonGi or any other pretty boys in Korea. The was amazingly beautiful and Jang Keun Seok doesn’t fit that image even a little.
  • (Shark) Don’t Look Back: The Legend of Orpheus  – (Aired May 27 – July 30, 2013) How could I possibly NOT watch Kim Nam-Gil’s comeback drama after being released from the army. That is a given!
  • Empress Ki – (Aired October 28, 2013 – April 29, 2014) After realizing that I could watch Chang-Wook in Five Fingers for too long I was really happy he was in this drama. The only problem is that it is not available on Hulu, Viki or any other free site.
  • Flower Boy Next Door  – (Aired January 7 – February 26, 2013) I really like Park Shin Hye’s acting. After all she was in the first drama I ever watched. However, the new guy Yoon Shi Yoon, really took me by surprise. He was annoying in this drama, but I liked him after a while.
  • Me Too! Flower  – (Aired November 9, 2011 — December 28, 2011) I watched this right after Flower Boy Next Door because of Yoon Shi Yoon, but I also recognized the lead actress from another drama, that I only watched the first episode.
  • Good Doctor ✿ – (Aired August 5 – October 8, 2013) After watching Joo Won in Bridal Mask, well I just had to watch this drama as well and also after watching Moon Chae Won in Innocent Man she became one of my favorite actresses.
  • Heirs  – (Aired October 9 – December 12, 2013) Of course I had to watch Park Shin-Hye and Lee Min Ho demonstrated from City Hunter and Faith that he is a good actor, so I had no doubt this would be good. However, the writers nearly screwed it up. And there was a bonus in the ensemble of this drama. So many faces I recognized from other dramas. Kim Woo-Bin from School 2013 and A Gentleman’s Dignity. Choi Jin Hyuk from Panda and Hedgehog. Kang Min-Hyuk from CNBLUE, Krystal from F(x). Kang Ha-Neul from Two Weeks, To the Beautiful You and Monstar.
  • Hundred Year Inheritance  – (Aired January 5 – June 23, 2013) I can’t remember why I started watching this drama but I got sucked in even though it has over 40+ episodes. I told myself I wouldn’t watch anything over 24 episodes for a really, really, really long time and I got suckered into this drama and it wasn’t even all that great.
  • I Can Hear Your Voice – (Aired )I started watching this drama because of the description and the lead actor and actress are great.
  • IRIS 2 – (Aired February 13 – April 18, 2013) I was waiting for this drama for the longest time after the first one. And when I found out Lee Da Hae and Jang Hyuk were going to be in it, I totally flipped….only to be highly disappointed. Mainly because Lee Da Hae had gotten a nose job and she looked weird to me. Her nose is what made her different also, I couldn’t get past the first episode but hopefully I will try to get over the disappointment and actually watch this series.
  • Jang Ok Jeong  – (Aired April 8 – June 25, 2013) Yes, well I definitely had to watch this because of Yoo Ah In but I also recognized Kim Tae Hee, which I didn’t know her name, but she was good in IRIS. So this series was ONE OF THE BEST dramas aired in 2013 for me.
  • Jung-Yi: Goddess of Fire – (Aired July 1 – October 22, 2013) I liked the main actress, Moon Geun-Young in Mary, Stayed out all night (Marry Me Mary!) and also Cheongdamdong Alice. She really piqued my interest. However, this drama made me gag and I never got past episode 20-something. But I will try to finish it someday.
  • King’s Daugther: Soo Baek Hyang – (Aired September 30, 2013 – March 14, 2014) I wanted to watch this drama because of the storyline but also because I recognized the actress from Tamra Island and also Flames of Desire – which I didn’t watch but was going to because of Yoo Seung Ho who is an EXCELLENT actor.
  • Let’s Eat  – (Aired November 28, 2013 – March 13, 2014) I only wanted to see this because they were talking about Korean food, but it turned out to be really good in the long run.
  • Medical Top Team ✿ – (Aired October 9 – December 12, 2013) I watched this for the description but also because I found out that Joo Ji Hoon would be in it as well as Min Ho from SHINee.
  • Monstar  – (Aired May 17 – August 2, 2013) I wanted to see this because of the description. However, it wasn’t as good as it could have been.
  • Secret Love  – (Aired September 25 – November 14, 2013) I started watching this because of Bae Soo Bin, but the other actors and actresses truly out shown him. This was the best drama I had seen in a while.
  • That Winter, The Wind Blows – (Aired February 13 – April 3, 2013) I was going to watch this because every thing I read said it was an amazing drama, but I haven’t gotten around to it.
  • Blade and Petal – (Aired July 3 – September 5, 2013) I liked the description and I wanted to see actors Uhm Tae-Woong and Choi Min Soo but I couldn’t make it past episode 4 or 5. And it was only 20 episodes.
  • The Prime Minister and I  – (Aired July 3 – September 5, 2013)I watched this because of Yoona. She was really good in Love Rain and I wanted to see her act some more. However, I really liked the lead actor in here.
  • The Queen’s Classroom  – (Aired June 12 – August 1, 2013) OMG! I was waiting for the actress who played Mishil in Great Queen Seondeok (Ko Hyun-Jung) to be in another drama and it was this one with one of the young actresses I like (Kim Hyang-Gi) from Hero and A Werewolf Boy. They picked two of the best actresses for this drama.
  • The Suspicious Housekeeper – (Aired September 23 – November 26, 2013) I watched this because of the storyline but I couldn’t finish it after half way through even though some of the young actors and actresses are my favorites in here.
  • Two Weeks ✿✿ – (Aired August 7 – September 26, 2013) Lee Joon Gi…duh!!! When can I ever NOT watch his dramas. I’m glad he did something a little different this time. This was a really good drama. The music soundtrack was really good too!
  • When a Man Loves  – (Aired April 3 – June 6, 2013) Yep because of Song Seung-Heon from Dr Jin. I love his acting and he is sooo freaking sexy. However, Shin Se Kyung CANNOT act. She was horrible in Fashion King and she was really horrible in this.
  • You Who Came From the Stars  – (Aired December 18, 2013 – February 27, 2014) I watched this because I recognized Kim Soo-Hyun from Dream High and this drama was simply one of the best of the year. I would buy this drama on DVD if I had the money.

  • Bu Bu Jing Xin – Greatest Chinese Love Story/Drama ever…Forgot that I watched this and to post here.
  • Qing Shi Huang Fei – Finally completed this series, but I must say I really hate the heading as someone commented in the last episode, it’s like Hamlet where all the characters get killed off. I would say it was okay up until the last 4 or 5 episodes.
  • The Reputable Family – This was a really good series. I watched it very quickly and even forgot to post about it here once I was done. The acting was good by everyone.
  • Rooftop Prince – The second greatest Korean drama. I am so getting it on DVD along with Love Rain. I am actually willing to spend money to get it on DVD. That is how good it was.
  • Fashion King – Chasing a tail is all this story was about, going around in circles only to have the worst ending in K-Drama history, not because it was different, but just generally it sucked.
  • Love Rain✿ – I was going to watch this eventually but a friend really loves it and so I decided to watch it finally and it is so totally awesome. One of the first K-dramas that I will buy will be this one.
  • Fashion King – I really wanted to see this drama because of Yoo Ah In and now I wish I hadn’t. Check out my review in my blog.
  • New My Fair Princess (Huan Xia Ge Ge) – I hear this one is not as good as the original but so far I’m loving the characters and hope to actually finishing watching this sometime soon. Ok, got to episode 95 finally.
  • The Royal Harem – Chinese Drama, no new subs after ep 8. I will have to wait and see.
  • Dr. Jin – Was bored because Rooftop Prince and Fashion King finished up and now this series was posted, so I’m happy because Faith with Lee Min Ho won’t be aired until July. And Park Min Young is in this one as well. I couldn’t get into Glory Jane. Maybe I’ll get to it someday.
  • Return of Iljimae/Moon River– I was skeptical about watching this but Dr. Jin only airs on the weekend and I need my drama fix during the week as well so I started watching this even though I’ve known about it almost right after I watched Iljimae, I just never got around to watching it and I must say that I wish I had seen it sooner because it was great. I did a review on this in my blog. Check it out.
  • Flower Boy Ramen Shop– I found this by searching out other dramas that Jung Il Woo plays in and I loved it. It was absolutely wonderful. I watched all 16 episodes in 2 1/2 days.
  • Coffee Prince – I decided to watch this since I heard it was a good drama and also because I watched Flower Boy Ramen Shop finally. I noticed them at the same time but passed them over until now. It got boring so I stopped watching it and started on A Gentleman’s Dignity and Bridal Mask.
  • A Gentleman’s Dignity – I started watching this at the same time as Dr Jin. It was wonderfully addictive. I really shouldn’t give my reviews on the drama’s here.
  • Bridal Mask – I started watching this because it came on around the same time a Dr Jin but I lost interest after the 3rd episode and recently picked it up again and it got interesting enough for me to watch like 5 episodes at once. lol! Still ongoing and I can’t wait to find out what happens.
  • Queen InHyun’s Man – It has a time travel plot so I watched. Probably shouldn’t have though. It was good, they got to be together eventually.
  • Faith  – Lee Min Ho, what more can I say. I loved him in City Hunter and even thought about watching Boys Over Flowers, but I still can’t stand that series no matter who is in it. But this is a time switch drama just like Dr. Jin.
  • To the Beautiful You (Hana-Kimi) – So of course my favorite manga series got turned into a drama yet again. But this time it’s Korean so hopefully it’ll be better than the Japanese version, however, also because it’s been years since I’ve read the manga, so details are not there anymore.
  • Panda and Hedgehog  – I read a description of this before it aired and it was about baking so I wanted to see how good it would be.
  • May Queen – The fact that 3 of my favorite young actors are in here is what drew me to it. And also the story summary.
  • Five Fingers – I found out this is Ji Joo Hoon’s first drama since his military release and it also stars Ji Chang Wook from Hero, Warrior Baek Dong Soo and Bachelor’s Vegetable Shop. He’s such a good actor. He didn’t really have a major role until WBDS.
  • The Innocent Man (Nice Guy)  – Song Joong Ki is the lead actor in this series with some new faces I’ve never seen.
  • The Color of Woman – starring Yoo Jin Joo from Warrior Baek Dong Soo and Hero.

Completed | On Hold
    • Brilliant Legacy (Currently on Ep 19…i think, been watching it in between other series)
    • Flying Boys (only watched half of part 1)
    • Hero (Lee Jun Ki, of course)
    • You’re Beautiful (Actress from Prince Hours is in here, the rich one.)
    • Hong Gil Dong (Ep 1) Didn’t get past the first 10 mins
    • The Kingdom of the Wind(Song Il Gook)
    • Crime Squad (Song Il Gook)
    • Baby-Faced Beauty Ummm, It was good at first but I didn’t like the ending.
    • Goong: Princess Hours (I was watching to see the actress from BFB…didn’t like her in here. I like Joo Ji Hoon in this though, looking for more of his works)
    • Jumong (on Ep 1)
    • The Great Queen Seondeok (Ep 51 – stopped here because I didn’t want to see Bidam’s ending. But will contemplate watching it in the future..lol) I’m loving Lee Seung Hyo and Kim Nam-Gil, especially Kim NamGil …hahaha! I can’t wait to see Bad Boy/Bad Guy. I also want to find more dramas with Lee Yo Won, I can’t believe we’re the same age. All of the actors/actresses I’ve found so far are either more than 7 years younger than me or more than 7 years older than me. So I’ve finally found a few that are my age, like John Hoon from Goong. He’s actually a little older than me, but we are the same age.
    • Bad Guy (Kim NamGil – my new love…lol!) This series was so totally awesome. Kim NamGil totally was amazing in this drama. Can’t wait until next year. I hope he gets an award for this drama.
    • Tamna Island Just like Prince Hours I don’t know anyone in this drama. Ok, I give it 2 thumbs up. I loved it! Now back to Baby-Faced Beauty and Great Queen Seon Deok.
    • Strange Hero YI ZHI MEI also known as Iljimae  (NOT A KOREAN DRAMA) Looked interesting while downloading Virgin Snow with Lee Jun Ki and waiting to DL Lovers Vanished with Kim Nam Gil. So I started watching it. I like it so far and the lead actor Wallace Huo. The ending was great, I just finished it a few mins ago!
    • Love at first Fight (ChineseTaiwanese Drama). I started watching this because Wallace Huo is such a great actor that I looked up other series he has been in and found this one. I started watching it because episodes 26-30 of Yi Zhi Mei (Iljimae) were not completely subbed in English.
    • City Hunter (Wanted to know about Lee Min Ho, so I decided to watch this series.)
    • Ouran High School Host Club (Ongoing) – This is of course a given to watch. I really shouldn’t but the reviews state that it is on target for a drama series that is based from a manga/anime series. I hope it doesn’t get screwed up like Hana-Kimi. Still pissed about them ruining my show!
    • Warrior Baek Dong-Soo – This was recommended by the same blog that recommended The Princess’ Man. I realized later that Yoo Seung ho was in it and I hated him in Great Queen Seon Deok but liked him in God of Study.
    • Mighty Chil Woo – I started watching this because there weren’t any more subbed episodes of WBDS. It’s a Korean Zorro…lol! It was a good series actually, so I’m glad I did watch it out of boredom.
    • Sungkyunkwan Scandal– This was a really good series. I started watching it cause there wasn’t any new episodes of WBDS and I wanted to see something else with Yoo Ah In and so I ended up watching this entire series and seeing the connections with WBDS historically. I also found out that Park Min-Young (City Hunter) is the girl in this series.
    • Scent of a Woman – I can’t stand Lee Dong Wook so I had to quit watching this series.
    • Protect the Boss – It was interesting at first but I soon lost interest. I might go back to it some day….maybe.
    • The King and I
    • Beethoven Virus
    • The Princess’ Man – This was recommended by a blog that feature Kim Nam-gil so I’m giving it a try. Also, I see pics from Lee Seung Hyo on the set of this drama series from time to time via his twitter account. I find that I don’t want to see this series anymore.
    • Time Between Dog and Wolf – Yay! Lee Jun Ki. I finally get to watch this series. I’ve been trying for the past 6 to 9 months to get this drama to watch it.
    • Dream High  – I was browsing Viki for something to watch and stumbled across this series.- I was browsing Viki for something to watch and stumbled across this series.
    • Man of Honor/Glory Jane – with Park Min Young. I was browsing My Asian Cinema for subs to The King and the Clown and came across this series so I’m going to watch it.
    • The Great Merchant Kim Man Deok — I stumbled across this on Viki while trying to find Man of Honor to watch. I swear I always find new series to watch instead of the ones I was intending to go back to watch. This was such an amazing series. I can’t wait to find something new.
    • Deep Rooted Tree/Tree with Deep Roots  – Stumbled on this via Viki
    • Iris – The storyline was excellent and the acting as well. I believe the only two parts I didn’t like were that the girl didn’t tell what she did at the end and the ending itself sucked.
    • Midas  – Stumbled on this via Hulu because of my boy Jang Hyuk / Jung Yong Joon who also starred in Chuno and is currently in Deep Rooted Tree.
